• Levels earn strength from the volume of decisions made there: round numbers, prior swing extremes and heavily traded zones outrank derived lines.
• A true break holds beyond the level into the close; an intraday poke that closes back inside is evidence FOR the level, not against it.
• A retracement level matters most where it stacks with a prior swing and a moving average — single lonely lines are decoration.
• Known limitation: in strong trends support simply breaks; level-bounce calls against fresh momentum are my school's recurring loss.
